Ray to Receive ADL Prestigious Torch of Liberty Award

On Thursday, September 29th, Ray will be honored by the Anti-Defamation League (ADL) at its annual event starting at 5:30 pm at the Hartford Marriot Downtown in Connecticut. Ray will be presented ADL prestigious Torch of Liberty award which recognizes outstanding citizens who contribute to building strong communities that are open to all people without regard to race, religion, ethnicity or sexual orientation. Coach Jim Calhoun is presenting the award and I hope you will join us in making this a special evening for Ray.

As a civil rights organization for over 100 years, ADL leads the fight in combating hatred, promoting diversity, and fostering communities of respect throughout the country. Funds raised from this event will support ADL A WORLD OF DIFFERENCE Institute which provided anti-bias and anti-bullying educational programs in CT for over 20,000 students, teachers, administrators and community leaders this past year.
