PURPOSE: Ray Allen and his Ray of Hope Foundation will assist in spreading Holiday cheer and the spirit of giving by asking shoppers at the Aventura Mall to purchase a gift* for a deserving, less fortunate child.

HOW IT WORKS: Shoppers at Aventura Mall on December 22nd will be asked by Ray to purchase a gift for a child (boy or girl) selected through the Miami Rescue Mission from their wish list.

AT AVENTURA MALL: Patrons will select an ornament from the Ray Of Hope Giving Tree (located on the second floor bridge between Banana Republic and Urban Outfitters). The Giving Tree, adorned with the ornaments of kid’s gift wishes will be available when the mall opens on Sunday, December 22nd. The ornament will include Child’s Name, Age and Gift Wish.

The shopper will pull an ornament (they may pull more than one ornament), go and purchase the childs gift and return the gift to the Giving Tree. As a token of their generosity, Santa Ray will be at Aventura Mall between 3:00 – 5:00 pm to provide an autograph to everyone who purchased a gift. We will provide a picture that Santa Ray will sign for his little helpers. Ray will provide an autograph for each gift ornament purchase.

The Ray of Hope Foundation and our volunteers will collect all of the presents and the Miami Rescue Mission will deliver the presents to all of the children.
