Thank you so much for attending and supporting the Ray of Hope Foundation at the 2013 Ray Allen Golf Tournament! I hope and trust you had a wonderful time golfing; as well as connecting with other generous supporters of the foundation’s cause! I am appreciative of all of the support of our sponsors, participants, our dedicated volunteers and the golf course, TPC River Highlands.

To date we have raised over $285,000 toward these efforts; with this year’s golf tournament raising $100,000. The proceeds from our golf tournament supports the foundation’s initiative of renovating computer labs in public schools in the Northeast. The highlight of the evening was during our “Raise Your Paddle” Auction, we received a surprising gift of generosity when three golf participants donated $10,000 each which will allow us to renovate an additional school’s computer lab!

As I wind down my professional basketball career, and with the accomplishment of winning another NBA championship with the Miami HEAT; one of my greatest pleasures is my work in the Connecticut area to help our young people become computer literate. I believe that students can do incredible things when they have access to technology, information, tools and training. With your continued support, it is my hope that the donation of computers and refurbished computer labs will make a significant impact in the school and inspire a new generation of thinkers and leaders.
